a. Business Challenges

This large Chicago-based architectural firm was looking for a robust disaster recovery and business continuity solution. Storcom’s client had growing needs to keep their operations running around-the-clock with more and more projects being initiated abroad. Our clients were relying on Storcom to ensure this project stayed on track since they realized that a data recovery and backup strategy was paramount in staying ahead of their competition. The current systems our client had in place was aging and needed to be replaced regardless of goals and needs, so this was a perfect time for Storcom to investigate the feasibility of a new solution.

b. Storcom’s Solution

Storcom gathered the necessary data and sized out a Recover by Storcom DR/BC solution leveraging best-of-breed technologies along with our patented methodology of protecting their data. Storcom replicated their data to our T3 facility in Lombard, Illinois, and then helped our client build and maintain a DR runbook that was regularly tested. As part of this solution, Storcom has been evolving along with their company and they have just recently upgraded to a new solution that that better suits their needs. The DR runbook foundation that was put in place five years ago is still valid and has been updated to meet their new requirements and processes.
